Board

The Veritas Academy of Tucson Board of Trustees consists of the husbands and wives of the three founding families:

Brice and Rebecca Kopas grew up in Arizona and met in 1998 while attending medical school at the University of Arizona. They currently reside in NW Tucson where Brice is in practice as a pediatrician and Becca works at home caring for their three daughters, Ella, Kate and Olivia.

Hessel and Heather Baker moved to Tucson shortly after their marriage in 2002. Hessel, who grew up in Alaska and Arizona, respectively, studied marketing and finance at the University of Arizona and now works in real estate investment. Heather grew up and attended college in the Pacific Northwest. She now stays home with their two daughters, Audrey and Evangeline.

Nathanael and Sharon Buus both grew up in Tucson and met in the 5th grade.  Eventually they were married in 2000.  Nathanael now owns a  local real estate company, and Sharon works at home caring for their three children, Zachary, Jake, and Sarah Kate.
